MY SEVEN-YEAR-OLD SELF

This was the age when I realized what it meant to be in poverty. I was raised by my grandparents and we lived on welfare to provide even the barest essentials.

That was the hard truth. And at that tender age, I decided to always go the extra mile in finding ways to take care of myself.

I strove to be the best I could be in academics and sports so I could pave my own way with scholarships. I learned to work

Simon Sinek says, “Find Your Why.” Well, this is my WHY. I do what I do to evade the poverty of my 7-year-old self.

I promised myself that poverty is NEVER going to be reality for my future family.

I WANTED TO BECOME A LAWYER, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT AIN'T CHEAP.

I knew I had to be the one to support that ambition without drowning myself in student loans. But how was I going to make that happen?

Call it serendipity, because somehow, life led me to the D2D (door-to-door) space.

My first summer in D2D, I was able to make $70,000!!!

Let me say that louder…

That’s $70k in just 4 months! Meaning: in one summer season—the peak sales months in the D2D industry.

That was enough to make me decide to drop out of college and focus solely on D2D.

In my 2nd summer, I made $90k. In my 3rd summer, I had my own sales team and broke 6-figures.

This industry is where I found financial freedom.

In hindsight, I very well could have achieved 6-figures in my first year, but I was never taught how. Don’t get me wrong, I had amazing mentors in the early stages of my career.

But as I met the growing challenges of life as a woman (i.e. breakups, marriage, pregnancy, health issues, etc.), I needed a leader who could relate to what I was going through. And guess what: There were no female mentors in the D2D space.

And as I became more financially successful and emotionally strong in the industry, I felt I had a higher purpose. I wanted to help women find success, but not alone the way I had to...

It’s time for me to be the mentor I was looking for!

I WANTED TO BE THE FEMALE COACH I WISH I HAD

More often than not, we’re going to find men on the leaderboards, men in management, and men as the executives…

I’ve always thought that LEADERSHIP in the D2D space is a man’s thing…that women leaders could never have the same respect for the team as men do.

So, even when I decided to step up as a leader, this limiting belief kept me from reaching my full potential.

But the truth is, only YOU can put yourself down and only YOU can unleash your greatest power.

Someone put me down one time, and I repeated it to myself a thousand times

A lot of women feel the same way. And no one is there to emotionally prepare them for the strength that it takes to be able to thrive in the D2D space.

That is going to change!

THE 6TH TIME'S THE CHARM

I’ve been in the D2D industry for more than 10 summers. It wasn't until my 6th summer as a leader that I started to really enjoy my role, and I completely turned my mindset around!

First, I surrounded myself with team members who share the same vision of building and growing the business. They are powerful enough to NOT let gossip, cattiness, and negativity get in the way of reaching their goals. They have each others’ backs even in my absence.

Second, I let go of the scarcity mindset! I used to allow negative thoughts thrive, like:

  • I lack the tools and training.
  • My counterparts are always going to be more successful.
  • I’m a woman, so I always have to downplay and be ashamed of my “numbers."

Enough of that bull$#@!!

When I stopped being self-conscious about the “numbers," scarcity, and all the other inner BS— I hit the 7-figure mark without even noticing it.

WORK WITH ABUNDANCE IN MIND

These changes in my beliefs transformed my leadership style big time!

I’M JUST GOING TO DO “ME”...

I stopped paying full attention to my “numbers."

I stopped trying to fit into the industry’s current style of leadership.

I started being grateful for the constructive criticism from my team.

I acknowledged that being empathetic is a woman's strong suit, not a detriment or weakness.

I fully embraced my power as a woman.

Not even my near-death experience during my 4th pregnancy could alter the feeling of gratitude. In fact, it ignited my passion all the more, because I honored how this industry has blessed me and my family with the life that we have now.

I’ve become a happier leader as I now operate from a place of openness and abundance!

You don't even have to be on my team for me to give you tips and secrets!

It may sound counterintuitive and contrary to industry norms, but I believe that growth can be achieved faster if you don’t hold back in sharing strategies!

And remember, having the sales scripts, systems and processes are essential for success, but self-acceptance and confidence are what make you thrive in the sales space.

It takes a lot of inner work, and I want to help make it easy for you.

Don’t downplay your worth.
Let’s tap into your feminine power.
Let your own VALUE fuel you towards success.

Let's do this!!!

I WANT TO BE THAT LITTLE PIECE OF GLUE IN THIS SALES SPACE

I believe that even if we come from different industries and receive no financial benefit from each other, women can show up for each other!

No secrets for besties!

And if it’s not asking too much, I want:

No backstabbing, no cancerous negativity, and no drama.

Let’s nurture a safe space for all of us — built with honesty and authenticity.

I created a podcast where I talk about all things female, the Ups and Downs in my journey, and what it takes to be successful in the door-to-door industry.

Okay ladies, say it loud so everyone can hear!

I AM AMAZING. I AM FIERCE. I AM ENOUGH.

There is a vast space for women to thrive in the D2D industry. You don’t need to “marry rich” in order to gain financial freedom. You can make the grass green wherever you are. Women are powerful enough. YOU ARE ENOUGH.
